Maija Max otherwise known as King Solomon the Son of David was born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised by his late great Aunt, Aunt Gwen who saw to it that he attended church every Sunday. He combined singing in the choir with his love for reggae, playing in local clubs, going to school and becoming active in PAL sponsored community youth clubs to create a unique style/flow, and a positive message for all to hear . At 19, his love for music drove him to Rochester, New York where he attended college and started pursuing his now fast growing career which includes sharing the airwaves with Daddy Phil and the Legendary "Green Lantern" as a DJ hosting "In A Dancehall Style" on W.I.T.R. 89.7 FM a local Radio Station in Rochester, NY where he interviewed many well known guest performers, as well as, free styling over hot instrumentals. Maija Max's magnificent voice, talent and intelligent, sensitive approach to writing and producing took over, and his career as a solo artist has been consistently uphill since moving to Central Florida in 2005. His sound and message, which has been described as between Sean Paul, Garnet Silk, and Shaggy with a touch of R&B is special to him and has a flavor all its own. Already a club and college favorite, Maija Max has stopped many shows and left audiences shouting for more. He was a favorite at "The 2005 MySpace Meet and Greet Concert" at Club 321 in Melbourne, Florida. And has toured many colleges including, Syracuse University, Buffalo State College, Connecticut, SUNY Brockport and in various nightclubs in Tennessee, New York, and Canada. Like all truly creative artists, Maija Max is uniquely his own man and is not just a trendsetter, but a studious Educator who delivers a natural flavor in a crazy, cool and professional manner.
